What is the All-on-4 method and who is it for?

Losing all teeth in one jaw can lead to many difficulties, from problems with eating and speaking to changes in appearance and reduced self-confidence.

The All-on-4 method was developed as a long-lasting, stable and functional solution for patients who have lost all their teeth or need to have them removed due to poor dental condition.

In this article, we explain what this method involves, what the entire process looks like and which patients are most suitable for All-on-4 treatment.

What is All-on-4?

All-on-4 is a prosthetic solution that allows an entire smile to be reconstructed using four dental implants. These four implants are surgically placed into the jawbone and serve as a support for a fixed bridge that replaces all teeth in that jaw.

What makes this method particularly effective is that the implants are placed at precise angles in areas where there is usually enough bone. In many cases, this helps avoid the need for bone augmentation.

At Implant Centre Martinko, treatment planning is based on detailed 3D diagnostics, and the entire therapy is carried out by our team, from the surgical procedure to the final prosthetic restoration.

Temporary teeth within 24 hours

It is important to know that within 24 hours of implant placement, patients do not receive the permanent bridge, but a temporary one. It is fixed, stable and aesthetically very similar to the final solution, allowing patients to function normally throughout the healing period.

Once the implants have integrated with the bone, which usually takes around three to six months, the permanent bridge is made. It is then placed onto already stable implants with a high level of precision and individual adjustment.

Who is All-on-4 intended for?

This method is suitable for patients who:

  • have no teeth in one jaw
  • have teeth that are in very poor condition and can no longer be treated
  • already wear a removable denture but are not satisfied with it and want a more stable solution
  • want fixed teeth that look and function like natural teeth
  • want to avoid lengthy and complex bone augmentation procedures

Every patient needs to undergo detailed diagnostics in order to assess the condition of the bone and their general health. At our centre, the first examination is free of charge and includes a CBCT scan, analysis and a proposed treatment plan.

What do patients value most about this method?

The greatest advantage is that patients receive temporary teeth within 24 hours, allowing them to return to their everyday routine more easily.

The treatment time is significantly shorter compared to traditional approaches, and in many cases, bone augmentation is not required. The final result is fully adapted to each patient, both aesthetically and functionally.

At Implant Centre Martinko, we use only proven implant systems and support each patient throughout the entire process, with regular check-ups and open communication.
